This classic cover, painted by Charles Dye, is one of our most popular Christmas covers. It features a grinning hunter taking a break from packing out his Christmas buck. There’s a red ribbon tied in the deer’s antlers, and the deer is in turn tied around the man’s shoulders. The hunter is wearing a classic red flannel shirt, suspenders, and an army canteen on his waist. He’s mopping his brow as his rifle rests on the log beside him.
